HANDCRAFTED 1″ TRUE CONDENSER CAPSULE Built like the world's finest musical instruments, each capsule is hand built and individually tuned in our own factory in Shanghai. Unlike other microphones with backplate or electret designs, the sE2300 features a true externally polarized condenser capsule, providing the best possible sound and the greatest performance in every sense. THREE SELECTABLE POLAR PATTERNS A 3-position pattern switch located on the back of the mic allows you to change the sE2300's polar pattern from omni to cardioid to figure-8. This gives you great control over the balance between direct and ambient sound. TRADITIONAL CLASS-A ELECTRONIC DESIGN Carefully selected discrete components ensure excellent sound quality from any source. The design of the sE2300 still avoids the use of ICs (Integrated Circuits) and is designed for superior performance. Low noise, consistent performance, and high sensitivity are ensured by state-of-the-art surface-mount electronics with very tight tolerances. TWO SWITCHABLE ATTENUATION LEVELS & LOW-CUT FILTERS -10dB and -20dB pad switches provide extended dynamic range, enabling close mic techniques for a huge variety of applications and even the loudest signals. Two selectable low-cut filters at either 80Hz or 160Hz remove low-frequency rumble and foot noise, and compensates for proximity effect when a close-mic technique is required. CUSTOM-BUILT OUTPUT TRANSFORMER The sE2300's custom transformer recreates the spirit of classic studio mics, adding great depth and weight to the overall sonic footprint and its tightly shielded metal housing ensures noise-free operation.
