The Maton Messiah EM100 was redesigned in 2012 for a fresh start. With a retuned scalloped top and solid rosewood back and sides, this Australian music industry icon has expanded its sonic range with classic, worldly woods. A solid mahogany neck adds fullness to the rich sound, and Maton UV varnish gives this model a polished finish. A mother-of-pearl Maton signature sticker "M" on the headstock adds the finishing touch to this world-class model.
The idea behind the new Messiah is to bring together the world's best tonewoods to breathe new life into our flagship model. The Messiah is unrivaled aesthetically and sonically, and we've taken the Messiah and maximized its sound and projection. The combination of scalloped bracing, mahogany neck, thinner, rounded back and ultra-thin UV coating makes the Messiah truly the king of the Matons series.
